Description
Odette is a Swan Princess. She is inspired by old European folktales about a young maiden who can transform into a swan.
Odette is handmade from a range of materials (see below). The doll is free-standing, light and delicate to touch. The doll is dry felted and is around 16 cm in height and 8 cm in diameter at the base. The fibre I used came from a business located in the Adelaide Hills.
The doll comes with a detached dry felted swan, which is around 4 cm long and 3 cm tall.
Materials
Odette doll: critter fibre of various colours, wool tapestry thread, deco foam, chenille stems, holographic glitter butterflies.
She is decorated with a tiara made of chenille sticks, wool and a small blue gemstone (most likely sodalite) and also a necklace made from metal wire and artificial pearl beads.
