Starting work in the parlour

The next room in the dollhouse I started to work on is the parlour. Stage 1 involved laying wall paper and floors with craft sticks, and also building a large fireplace. I made the fireplace from wood and card stock, using Jane’s Harrop’s Edwardian Era: Miniatures in 1:12 Scale as a guide.

It’s been most my challenging task yet! I share vignettes of this stage in my vlog. You can watch it below.

I’m curious, Wonder Weavers, have you done a project from Jane Harrop’s Edwardian Era: Miniatures in 1:12 Scale? And if so, what did you think? Was the project fun and easy to read?

And if you haven’t read the book, Paperback and kindle versions of the book are available from Amazon.
