A dollhouse bedroom renovation

by | Jul 9, 2024

The dollhouse renovation continues and this week I started work on the dollhouse bedroom. Located on the third floor,  the bedroom is slowly taking shape.

This week I have laid the floors and wallpaper, made skirting boards and installed a lovely new fireplace. For these tasks, I used common craft materials, such as recycled cardboard and craft sticks. I also made the wallpaper using a William Morris design, which is now in the public domain. For the fireplace, I drew on Jane Harrop’s terrific book, Edwardian Era: Miniatures in 1:12 Scale.

In the vlog below, I share vignettes of the dollhouse bedroom renovation so far. And I also introduce a new house resident and poor Robin isn’t overly impressed!

Meanwhile, follow me as I take a wonder walk and explore the magic of the jacaranda tree. While this tree is not native to Australia, it has become very dear to our hearts.
